New Chair of the department

After 17 years, there is a change in the position of head of the Department of Hydraulics and Hydrology. Prof. Tomáš Vogel, who headed the department since 2007, was replaced by Assoc. Michal Dohnal, who, like his predecessor, focuses on subsurface hydrology and has long been involved in numerical modelling of water flow and solute transport in natural porous formations. Michal Dohnal is the principal investigator of a number of research projects and author or co-author of high quality scientific publications. In 2019-2023 he was a member and later chairman of the evaluation panel of GAČR P209 ( Atmospheric Sciences, Hydrology, Physical Geography and Geophysics )
